- Metrics x Dimensions
The numbers of pages, pages viewed per
visit, and average time on site, are examples of metrics that Google Analytics allows
us to measure, graph, and compare to see how they are correlated. Dimensions describe attributes, in other
words, the tables we see on the GA reports, usually break out data by a single
dimension. Each row in the table shows the data for a different value of the
dimension. For instance, a dimension can be shown by Country and each row will contains
the data for a different country. If you
want you can add a secondary dimension, which will let us see data for each combination
of two dimensions.
Understanding these concepts will make it
easier for us to gather the right data to be converted into useful information.- Here are some more features of the Google Analytics tool:
